Tuesday’s Tunes – ∆ (Alt J)

∆, or Alt J, is hard to describe. iTunes classifies them as “Alternative”, but I think that they can be more accurately described as a mix of folk, rock bass, catchy pop, hip hop beats, trip hop atmosphere,  indie rock quirkiness and electronic heavy synth riffs. Basically, there’s something in this music for everyone!

I love this first video, for “Tessellate” because it’s a twist on Raphael’s ‘School of Athens‘, set in a modern day gangster’s paradise.

The second video, while much more dark in nature, is beautifully captured and directed. So dynamic.
